Scope
 

The main mission of S.D.P.P. is the exchange and transfer of scientific knowledge and experience between physiotherapists working with children with neurological/developmental, musculoskeletal/orthopedic, cardiorespiratory and mental/mental disorders, in order to provide effective high quality physiotherapy services to children and their families, as well as to improve their quality of life.

At the same time, the aim of the S.D.P.P. is to promote the role and benefits of Physiotherapy for infants, children and adolescents (aged 0 to 21 years) in Greek society, in the medical community and in the paediatric interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, as well as to contribute to the recognition and institutionalisation of Paediatric Physiotherapy as a physiotherapy specialisation by the Greek State.

 

OBJECTIVES S.D.P.P. 

To provide opportunities for lifelong learning, professional training, integration and development in the field of Pediatric Physiotherapy, through the conduct of scientific conferences, workshops, educational seminars, clinical workshops or lectures, the organization of educational visits and the provision of up-to-date bibliographic information through an electronic catalogue of bibliographic references.

To provide a platform for the exchange of views, ideas, experiences and information between all stakeholders on Pediatric Physiotherapy issues.
To encourage research activities, such as the writing of papers and their publication in the journal of P.S.F. and other scientific journals, in order to strengthen the scientific evidence base of Paediatric Physiotherapy.
To develop relationships and collaborations with Higher Educational Institutions and other relevant organizations in Greece and abroad.
To support and represent Pediatric Physiotherapy on behalf of the P.S.F. internationally
